Sometimes they might even share.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Your post\u00a0can\u00a0scatter &#8220;gifts.&#8221;\u00a0\u00a0When given the option,\u00a0your reader can mouse-click\u00a0on the\u00a0gift\u00a0and unwrap <strong><em>relevant<\/em><\/strong> information. This gift is\u00a0a technically called a \u00a0<a title=\"Wikipedia Def. of Hyperlink\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Hyperlink\" target=\"_blank\">hyperlink<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>The Hyperlink\u00a0Advantages:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<li>For your reader &#8212; You do all the research for him. You shop, find, purchase and wrap it; he unwraps it . . . if he chooses.<\/li>\n<li>For your reader &#8212; You ask the question that may have never occurred to him and then you\u00a0 answer\u00a0it.<\/li>\n<li>For your post &#8212; Linked information\u00a0may live, breathe and change. If the\u00a0linked information\u00a0is updated or corrected at\u00a0its core,\u00a0your post\u00a0will remain current longer (or have a longer, relevant\u00a0web life).\u00a0 If you copied, pasted and\/or quoted an article in your post, (just like printed material),\u00a0parts\u00a0may become stale or outdated more quickly.<\/li>\n<li>For you &#8212; You give credit to the appropriate\u00a0author\u00a0avoiding plagiarism and copyright infringement (much like\u00a0the footnotes in your high-school term paper).<\/li>\n<li>For you &#8212; You\u00a0exhibit thoroughness,\u00a0expertise\u00a0and attention to detail&#8211; your post\u00a0becomes a reflection of your work ethic and mirrors the way you handle your Real Estate business.<\/li>\n<li>For you &#8212; You become a known and visible expert in your field on the worldwide web because you are achieving SEO. See <a title=\"90-Day Challenge Day 4 - SEO etc.\" href=\"https:\/\/blog.myewm.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/10\/11\/90-day-challenge-day-4-embracing-your-inner-geek-understanding-google-and-other-search-engine-stuff\/\" target=\"_blank\">Day 4 of the Challenge<\/a> to review backlinks, pageranks, and search engine optimization (SEO).<\/li>\n<li>For you &#8212; Your reader will <strong><em>fall in love with you<\/em><\/strong> because of . . . all of the above.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Links Make Sense:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft\" style=\"margin-left: 20px;margin-right: 20px\" src=\"http:\/\/images.marthastewart.com\/images\/content\/tv\/ms_living_tv\/2007Q1\/tvs4014_l.jpg\" alt=\"Key Lime Pie\" width=\"175\" height=\"172\" \/>Could\u00a0 you imagine reading a <strong><em>Martha Stewart<\/em><\/strong> magazine\u00a0article where\u00a0she\u00a0has referred to\u00a0last month&#8217;s <a title=\"Martha's Yum Yum Key Lime Pie Recipe\" href=\"http:\/\/www.marthastewart.com\/recipe\/key-lime-pie-from-television?autonomy_kw=key&amp;rsc=image_10\" target=\"_blank\">Key Lime Pie recipe<\/a> and the recipe is nowhere to be found in\u00a0the current\u00a0issue (because, after all, it is last month&#8217;s recipe and Key limes\u00a0may have already\u00a0gone out of season).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Your Aunt Juanita just brought you a bag of Key limes from\u00a0the waterfront Islamorada home (you sold her), and she has dropped them on your front porch because you saw her coming up the drive, turned out the lights, and\u00a0pretended not to be home.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Your mouth is watering for that\u00a0pie.\u00a0 You should:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify\">A.\u00a0 Purchase last month&#8217;s <em>Martha Stewart<\/em> if you can dare fight the crowds at Costco<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify\">B. Wait until next lime season for Martha to once again publish the recipe<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify\">C. Suck it up and beg Aunt Juanita for her recipe or<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify\">D.\u00a0Pretend you are sick, ask Aunt Juanita to come\u00a0back, pick up her limes off the front porch (you wouldn&#8217;t want her to catch anything), and\u00a0bring back the pie.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">In\u00a0Martha&#8217;s blog, however,\u00a0she would have courteously\u00a0<a title=\"Deep link\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Deep_link\" target=\"_blank\">(deep) linked<\/a> her Key Lime Pie reference to\u00a0her prior\u00a0post.\u00a0It just makes sense to heighten the excitement level of the reader and give him more than he expected.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Relevancy:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">If you were reading a travel post about <a title=\"Istanbul, Turkey\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Istanbul\" target=\"_blank\">Istanbul, Turkey<\/a>, \u00a0and you had never been there before, wouldn&#8217;t it be wonderful if the author linked all the related areas of interest to the post?\u00a0\u00a0The links must be relevant to the subject.\u00a0 You would not find Aunt Juanita&#8217;s Thanksgiving <a title=\"Martha Stewart's Tuscan Turkey Roast Recipe\" href=\"http:\/\/www.marthastewart.com\/recipe\/tuscan-roast-turkey-breast?autonomy_kw=turkey%20and%20dressing&amp;rsc=header_2\" target=\"_blank\">turkey-and-dressing recipe<\/a> linked to one of the &#8220;<a title=\"Paula Deen's Southern Fried Turkey . . hmmmm hmmmmm!\" href=\"http:\/\/recipes.pauladeen.com\/index.php\/recipes\/view\/deep_fried_turkey\/\" target=\"_blank\">Turkey<\/a>&#8221; words.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Print vs. Post:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">From the author&#8217;s standpoint:\u00a0 It would cost a small fortune to\u00a0professionally write, publish and professional print and distribute\u00a0the &#8220;Travel to Turkey&#8221;\u00a0article with all its related links.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">From your standpoint:\u00a0 Not only would you have to physically seek out the publication, the print\u00a0version would be equivalent to a coffee-table sized travel magazine,\u00a0and the information\u00a0would be\u00a0outdated\u00a0by the time it was edited, printed and distributed!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">As I was gathering information for this post, I perused the &#8220;Listings&#8221; category on our EWM.COM website.\u00a0 I noticed <strong>very few posts\u00a0contained links<\/strong>.\u00a0 Posting a blog about your listing (complete with healthy links) forces you to take a bird&#8217;s eye view\u00a0of your listing\u00a0 &#8212; everything in, around, through, on top of, within the radius of, near, far,\u00a0everything existing entity that may\u00a0affect that property.\u00a0 Linking relevant entities to your listing is key to getting it noticed on the web.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong><em>Link = Relationship:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">If you take the time to add &#8220;links&#8221; to your post, you are loving on your reader.\u00a0The more you love on your reader, the more he will come back for more love and bring others with him.\u00a0\u00a0Soon your business will feel the love, and you will feel the love for your business.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">This video will show you the basics\u00a0of adding links to your post.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><div class=\"sc-lightbox image\"><span><img class=\"lightbox\" src=\"http:\/\/img.youtube.com\/vi\/\/0.jpg\"><\/span><div class=\"image-overlay\"><div class=\"image-overlay-inner\"><div class=\"hover-icons\"><a class=\"hover-zoom prettyPhoto\" href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=\"\"><i><\/i><\/a><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Here are a few listing link ideas:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<li>School (County) websites:\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.Dadeschools.net\">www.Dadeschools.net<\/a> or\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.browardschools.com\">www.browardschools.com<\/a><\/li>\n<li> Actual school websites, such as <a title=\"Cypress Bay High School Official Website\" href=\"http:\/\/www.cypressbayhighschool.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Cypress Bay High School<\/a> <a title=\"Cypress Bay FCAT Scores\" href=\"http:\/\/www.greatschools.net\/modperl\/achievement\/fl\/5186#fcat\" target=\"_blank\">(FCAT Scores)<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Colleges and institutions of higher learning<\/li>\n<li>Specialty schools, such as art institutes or culinary institutes<\/li>\n<li>Restaurants<\/li>\n<li>Buildings (if a condo, the building (Condo Association) may have its own website)<\/li>\n<li>Neighborhoods (HOAs may have a website)<\/li>\n<li>Municipalities<\/li>\n<li>Malls and shopping centers<\/li>\n<li>Places of special interest (zoo, seaquarium, Parrot Jungle, Jungle Queen)<\/li>\n<li>Virtual tours (unless they are embeddable)<\/li>\n<li>MLX report page<\/li>\n<li>EWM.com photo and info page<\/li>\n<li>Maps (unless they are embeddable)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Use caveats where necessary.\u00a0 For example &#8212; even though posts are time-date stamped, school boundaries change.\u00a0 Therefore, if I include school information in a post, I state:\u00a0 CAVEAT:\u00a0 School boundaries are subject to change.\u00a0 Please consult (&#8220;xxx&#8221; website) prior to purchasing any property.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Think Link:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Blogging is like weaving a tapestry.\u00a0 We sometimes stare at\u00a0a blank canvas\u00a0trying to\u00a0envision the final image. We stop staring and start weaving. We weave, we cut, we weave some more.
