From time to time, I come across agents who are having problems with some of the features of MLXchange\u00a0on their particular computer. They know the issue does not lie with their login because they can access all the features\u00a0from the office computers.\u00a0It might be your browser.\u00a0 Remember: AOL and MLX is a bad marriage.\u00a0 It will wreck your files.\u00a0 If you are accessing MLX through your AOL browser, heaven help you.<\/p>\n

You have access to\u00a0online MLX\u00a0tech support.\u00a0 It is best to do an online chat which is quick and easy. Click on Help (Arrow #1) and the MarketLinx Help screen appears.\u00a0 In the box with the female’s picture (Arrow #2), click on the link that says “CLICK HERE.” You will be taken to a chat window immediately.<\/p>\n

Below is my conversation with Kim regarding browsers that are supported by MLXchange and a short conversation about the Mac.<\/p>\n

\nKim: <\/span><\/strong><\/span>we only support the MLXchange in Internet explorer version 6 sp 2 (Service Pack 2) or higher. \u00a0It is recommended that they use IE 7 (Internet Explorer 7).<\/span><\/span>
\nKaren Ross: <\/span><\/strong><\/span>You’ve been great. That’s what I needed. What happens if someone uses Firefox or Wyldfire or Google Chrome or Flock?<\/span><\/span>
\nKim: <\/span><\/strong><\/span>We don’t support it here. \u00a0Some of the features might work, some will not.<\/span><\/span>
\nKaren Ross: <\/span><\/strong><\/span>Ok. Have you had any “screaming” calls from someone who downloaded Beta Explorer 8??<\/span><\/span>
\nKim: <\/span><\/strong><\/span>Not screaming, had a few that didn’t even know they had downloaded it. <\/span><\/span>
\nKim: <\/span><\/strong><\/span>On all the Message of the Days for the sites, we put up a notice that we don’t support running in IE 8 (Internet Explorer 8)\u00a0beta, but since beta software is still in testing, we don’t support any betas.<\/span><\/span>
\nKaren Ross: <\/span><\/strong><\/span>Understood. How’s the Mac issue? Any screaming there?<\/span><\/span>
\nKim: <\/span><\/strong><\/span>Mac users have to have either dual boot or a pc emulator and then every thing works just dandy.<\/span><\/span>
