{"id":18180,"date":"2011-09-19T11:30:50","date_gmt":"2011-09-19T15:30:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ewm.com\/internalblog\/?p=18180"},"modified":"2011-09-19T11:30:50","modified_gmt":"2011-09-19T15:30:50","slug":"mlxchange-on-linux-mac-ipad-iphone-and-hopefully-soon-ipad2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.myewm.com\/?p=18180","title":{"rendered":"MLXchange on Linux, Mac, Ipad, Iphone, and hopefully soon Ipad2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The link below is a great article on setting up a virtual server to run MLX on your Iphone, Ipad, etc.\u00a0 Thank you to Victor Mills at our Pinecrest Office for forwarding this to me.<\/p>\n<p>How to set it up:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Get the laptop and setup a fresh windows install if you can.\u00a0 If not, what  you have on it will work.<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-17921\" title=\"iphone-and-ipad\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.myewm.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/files\/2011\/08\/iphone-and-ipad.jpg\" alt=\"iphone-and-ipad\" width=\"225\" height=\"294\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Erase everything you don\u2019t need, and turn off all the graphics,  screensavers, services, etc. that you don\u2019t need.<\/li>\n<li>Make the computer boot on at a certain time each day in the setup options.\u00a0  (I put 8:00 A.M.)<\/li>\n<li>Make the computer turn off at a certain time of day.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.tightvnc.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Install VNC server<\/a> and set it up to run on  start up.<\/li>\n<li>Put your Internet Explorer in the \u201cStart up\u201d section of the Start menu.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.no-ip.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Install the no-ip client<\/a> on the laptop.<\/li>\n<li>Setup your router to port forward port 5900 to the laptop.<\/li>\n<li>Download the <a href=\"http:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/us\/app\/vnc-viewer\/id352019548?mt=8\">VNC app to the iphone or  ipad.<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Download the<a href=\"http:\/\/www.jinx.de\/\" target=\"_blank\"> JollyFastVNC client for the imac<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.rogersmls.com\/2011\/01\/mlxchange-on-linux-mac-ipad-iphone-and-hopefully-soon-ipad-ii\/\">Click here for entire article<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The link below is a great article on setting up a virtual server to run MLX on your Iphone, Ipad, etc.\u00a0 Thank you to Victor Mills at our Pinecrest Office for forwarding this to me.
