\nSusie: Excuse me?
\nNicole: muflerk!
\nSusie: What language are you speaking?
\nNicole: No, no it’s someone’s email address – muflerk@aol.com
\nSusie: Oh, got it. Is it an EWM Associate?
\nNicole: Must be, but I have no idea who.
\nSusie: What do they want?
\nNicole: Whoever it is wants me to change the price in one of their ads, but I don’t know who the Associate is, what property they’re advertising, or what publication they’re advertising in. All I know is the new price is $1,239,000.
\nSusie: What are you gonna do?
\nNicole: I’ll have to try to figure out who it is or send a reply email asking for more information.
\nSusie: You’re a great employee. I heard Beth talking about giving you a $5,000 a week raise.
\nNicole: Sweet! And I heard Hena say you’re getting a $2,000,000 bonus.<\/p>\n
Note:<\/strong> This is basically a true story except we changed the email address of the Associate and we made up the part about the raise and the bonus.<\/p>\n Tip Of The Day<\/em>: Help ensure the Marketing Muses’ ability to assist you. I’ve read that proper email etiquette requires us to identify ourselves just as we would in any formal correspondence. Well written business letters always carry the sender’s name and contact information, are clear, concise and as detailed as necessary . . . especially when requesting action from the recipient. When you send emails regarding ads, it’s best to include listing addresses, MLS numbers, publication names and dates.
