As the nurse rolled her into pre-op she continued on with an endless list of to-dos for her husband of 35 years.  &#8220;Remember this&#8221; and &#8220;don&#8217;t forget that&#8221;  while I&#8217;ll be recovering in the hospital.  Next, the anesthesiologist set an IV in place and started a Valium drip.  As she was about to go under she had one final request.  &#8220;Promise me&#8221;, she said, that you&#8217;ll never remarry if something happens.  Hell No, trust me on that one, the next time around, I plan on being a renter and not a buyer.
