As Miami locals are taking their final getaways before school starts and tourists are steering clear of our intense heat and humidity, our restaurants have historically experienced a summer slump! Well, Miami Spice was designed to counter the slump and get people to venture out and visit one of the 181 participating restaurants offering meals at a discounted price. Participating restaurants offer prix-fixed lunches for $23 and dinners for $39 and will encourage you to try things out of the ordinary. Some of my Coral Gables’ favorites are the award winning French restaurant Pascal’s on Ponce and Sushi Samba for a more hip scene with its creative mix of Japanese, Brazilian and Peruvian recipes. Then there’s South Beach’s Smith and Wollensky on the water and fun Spanish tapas at Barceloneta! The specials run from August 1st- September 30th so give it a try! <\/p>\n
