When the property you’re trying to photograph is unusually large or sits along the waterfront, aerial shots are often the best way to go. Problem is, traditional aerials are expensive — generally not because of the photographer, but the cost of the helicopter is a killer.Luis Travieso, a photographer EWM has used and recommended for many, many years, now has a cost effective way to take aerials. He actually uses a small remote control helicopter with a camera mounted on it. Here are a couple of sample shots he took the other day. This first one shows a Palm Island property and the one below it is an Indian Creek property.<img src=\"http:\/\/blog.ewm.com\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/230\/files\/2007\/09\/1-palm-island-small.jpg\" vspace=\"5\" hspace=\"0\" border=\"0\" align=\"middle\" alt=\"Aerial Photo 1\" \/><\/a><img src=\"http:\/\/blog.ewm.com\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/230\/files\/2007\/09\/30-indian-creek-sm.jpg\" vspace=\"8\" hspace=\"0\" border=\"0\" align=\"middle\" alt=\"Aerial Photos\" \/><\/a>You’ll have to talk to Luis about his fees, but I think it’s about $150 – $200 for 2 or 3 shots.
