I live in Coral Gables and am a fan of the circles they have added to our streets over the past few years. They slow down traffic and provide a pretty view adding to the ambiance of Coral Gables. So I am interested in people’s opinions of the new “art” that was put up at the Segovia and Biltmore Way round about. It is a group of big metal flowers. I was interested in the story behind it and learned that it is the first piece of art commissioned by the City Beautiful since the 1920’s. I understand the city paid $1,000,000 for this and what is going up on the next circle over at Segovia and Coral Way. The artist is Alice Aycock.<\/p>\n

I was driving down Blue Road the other day and saw a gorgeous Poinciana tree in full orange bloom. I couldn’t help but think it certainly didn’t cost as much and God did a pretty good job!\n<\/p><\/div>\n
