They also show poor empathy even when telling you about something tragic. The local news is as a norm, far too graphic, and inappropriate to watch if there are small children in the room.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CNN <\/strong>is obviously a much better choice and you get national and international news with good reporting and heated debating.<\/p>\n<p>But, if you want something even more globally&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>May I suggest <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbcamerica.com\/content\/169\/\" title=\"BBC America World News\">BBC America World News<\/a>&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I love BBC World News.  I love that they tell you about the real news and not the petty news. I love that they tell you about the WHOLE world and major developments around it. I love it as it is not graphic and gory and a child can be present in the room. I love it as the presenters don&#8217;t wear so much make-up and  yet look professional and stylish.<\/p>\n<p>If you enjoy good news and haven&#8217;t watched BBC World News (on BBC America Channel) may I suggest you see if your cable carrier has it and get it!<\/p>\n<p>This way you will really know what is going on around the world and how it affects us here locally.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I rarely watch the local news as it is usually quite pathetic.The presenters have so much make-up on and look rather synthetic, it is hard to take them seriously.
