But somewhere along the way, copiers became copier\/printers, printers became printer\/copiers, and presses morphed first into digital presses and then into direct-imaging (DI) presses. Confusing, isn&#8217;t it?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Where knowledge ends, confusion begins.<\/p>\n<p>Have you really gotten to know our copiers and printers?\u00a0 In an earlier post,  we looked at scanning your files instead of dealing with mounds of paper.\u00a0 Have you had the occasion to scan, copy and print? What about that mysterious bypass tray &#8212; the tray that hides behind\u00a0the trashcan?<\/p>\n<div class=\"sc-lightbox image\"><span><img class=\"lightbox\" src=\"http:\/\/img.youtube.com\/vi\/\/0.jpg\"><\/span><div class=\"image-overlay\"><div class=\"image-overlay-inner\"><div class=\"hover-icons\"><a class=\"hover-zoom prettyPhoto\" href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=\"\"><i><\/i><\/a><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<p>You have the ability with\u00a0any of the copiers to load your specialty paper into the BYPASS tray. Make sure you load it properly. If you do not have it loaded to the correct orientation, landscape or portrait,\u00a0a message\u00a0will appear on\u00a0the control panel. Once you load the paper, the control panel will ask you to confirm the paper size and description.<\/p>\n<p>If you are using any type of gloss paper, be sure to not copy or load any more than 40 sheets. The ink smudges and your copies will be ruined. Wait about a half hour in between print sessions before you copy another set on the glossy paper.<\/p>\n<p>Your Challenge:\u00a0 Print a document on cardstock or colored paper from the bypass tray.<\/p>\n<p>What about that oversized spreadsheet or document &#8212; or floorplan or blueprint that you need printed to tabloid-sized (11&#215;17) paper?<\/p>\n<div class=\"sc-lightbox image\"><span><img class=\"lightbox\" src=\"http:\/\/img.youtube.com\/vi\/\/0.jpg\"><\/span><div class=\"image-overlay\"><div class=\"image-overlay-inner\"><div class=\"hover-icons\"><a class=\"hover-zoom prettyPhoto\" href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=\"\"><i><\/i><\/a><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<p>Your Challenge:\u00a0 Print\u00a0an oversized document or\u00a0spreadsheet to 11&#215;17 tabloid-sized paper.\u00a0 Be sure the paper has been loaded by your office into one of the drawers.<\/p>\n<p>Comment about your printing experiences!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Continuing with examining your surroundings and everyday environment, how well do you know the office copiers?
