Three easy ways to improve response to your email marketing:

Email marketing is a great way to to stay in touch with customers. Here are some quick tips to help make sure you’re getting the most out of your efforts:

1. Make your subject line matter to your customer.

“My monthly newsletter” is an example of a subject line that misses the mark. Give the recipient incentive to open your message in the subject line. Try something more specific like “5 tips to lower your heating bill” or “Ever wondered about real estate investing?”

2. Organize your contacts into targeted groups.

Nothing will hurt your email open rates more than sending information that’s irrelevant to your customers. Using the groups function in the contact manager helps you define your audience specifically and makes sending relevant emails to them a snap.

3. Make your frequency of contact “Just Right”

Send too many emails and your customers will unsubscribe or mark them as junk. Failure to stay in touch regularly lowers your odds of response. There are no absolutes when it comes to frequency, so pick an interval that seems right to you. Use the campaigns feature to keep your communications on a set schedule.
