Marry Me!

brideI loved the answer that was shouted out at the Coral Gables Ethics class when I asked the question, “how do you get a buyer to marry you?”

“TELL ‘EM YOU’RE PREGNANT!”

That may have worked well for some in the past — however, below is a link to a document that might help in the future. Remember — there are only two guarantees in life — death and taxes.

This is a document I received in my training at EWM, but I prettied it up. I can only take credit for the aesthetics.

There is nothing for the buyer or Realtor to sign — this is merely an exercise . . . hopefully not in futility!

Sorry, Carlos. For consolation, watch this!

That’s great… I wish I had it to give to my sister recently when she asked me to find her a home and ended up buying a FSBO.

By the way, going it alone paid off for one of the parties. The seller got about $50K more. The buyer did not know that the seller had previously listed the house for less. She would have known that had she used a Realtor.

You need to blog about that on the public site.

Just give me the trends and facts, Jack.
    And the floor plan, Stan.
Just give me the key, Lee.
No longer a renter, I’m free.

Karen – This has nothing to do with your recent blog post, although I thought the answer was pretty funny. Where on the blog can I find the training schedule? It is not under Training Tips and Tricks?

Karen, as always you make me smile. Love your header and thanks for the sample Agreement. It would at least give a Realtor the opening to discuss the “what if’s” with a buyer who may not understand what happens when they go off on their own.

Marie — Thanks! My goal in life is to help people through it painlessly, especially training.

Debra — I blasted an e-mail today, but Beth did post the schedule before I even got on the site.

Carlos — look back at my original post. Click for entertainment purposes only. . . .ha! Could not resist!
