Gentle Web Reminders: Typing A Title In EWMRealtors For Christies’ Website And Being Your Own Internet Cop

For those of you who are tracking your listings on the internet, this is a gentle reminder that your EWM listings priced at $1M+ appear on the Christies website: www.christiesgreatestates.com. To ensure that your listing appears, please type a title in your ewmrealtors.com listing manager for that listing. See below:

For those of you who are tracking your listings on the London Times, Debra Spadafora contacted our Mayfair representative “Annette,” and she stated the following:

“They are there (and haven’t been absent) but you have to go right to the bottom of the home page (currently beneath the pic of George Clooney) to Property http://www.telegraph.co.uk/property). It [property search tab] should be a tab at the top, but for some reason, it isn’t.

Here is an EWM one I picked randomly http://search.property.telegraph.co.uk/site/php/property.php?id=4533210&type=b&menu=overseas. The site is due an update soon, I am told, but I guess it’s more about demonstrating reach.”

It is a good idea to check your listings.  You can be of help to us (or “IT”)  if for some reason you cannot locate your listings on a particular website that we, as a company, are “feeding.”  Your seller may inform you that his property “is not there” before you discover it!

Sometimes the link drops because of the ghost that roams around cyberspace.  In order to bust the  ghost, it would behoove you to check the various websites from time to time.

One of our agents checked her listing on Trulia, only to find that the ORIGINAL agent was still being displayed as the listing agent!!! Imagine that! The original agent might have received that buyer call  had our agent not been diligent and checked the site!!!! Our agent swiftly sent a message to Trulia, and they made the correction.  Whoo!

On the Christies’ site, you can click on the “Email Property Brochure”  link and send the homeowner the information right then and there.

On the Luxury Portfolio site (which creates a beautiful slideshow with your photos), you can click on the button “Email to a Friend” to send your listing to your homeowner. Also, take note of the “SHARE” feature for posting on your social networking sites — a great reason for you to VISIT your listing on Luxury Portfolio (listings priced at $1M+ in our marketplace).

Be sure to visit  http://tinyurl.com/ to turn  that long “web name” into a tiny little thing and twitter it.

Place your listing address on  GOOGLE ALERTS — see the prior post speaking to that issue.

If you are new to EWM and transferring your current listings to EWM from your prior company, be sure to check that your listings are now appearing on these websites. I hope you find this information helpful!

Could you please give me a call tomorrow on cell 305 519 9456 I have a rather more complicated question. Also today I tried to access the Mayfair page for U.S. and it kept saying error. Canada and all other places came up fine. Are we having problems? Thanks, Gloria
