I’m a new realtor with EWM and a Mac enthusiast transitioning to the world of real estate. There is only one thing that require me descending into the Windows world, accessing the MLS. MLS requires IE6, and there’s simply no IE6 for current Mac users. Microsoft is saying that they can’t do as good of a job as Apple of integrating the browser with the MacOS as a a reason they halted development of Internet Explorer. I find it unbelievable that in this day and age, when Firefox now claims almost 30% of browser uses and Apple has doubled its laptop marketshare to 12 percent, that web sites still are specifically designed to work in only one environment (Internet Explorer). The MLS is the backbone to all Real Estate offices and it could be even a greater tool if it could be used on other web browsers such as Firefox, Opera or Safari. Your participation to explore the options or experiences using apple bootcamp will be really welcome!
