Gonzalez’s banner year in 2015 included the $33 Million sale of the former Jennifer Lopez estate on North Bay Road to music artist Phil Collins

MIAMI-DADE (February 5, 2016) – EWM Realty International/Christie’s International Real Estate’s Nelson Gonzalez is Miami-Dade County’s overall top-dollar-volume residential

real estate professional for the 12-month period ending December 31, 2015, according to cumulative data from the Southeast Florida Regional Multiple Listing Service (MLS). EWM was also ranked in the MLS as the No. 1 dollar-volume residential brokerage in 2015, when compared with all other Miami-Dade County residential brokerages, besting the No. 2 brokerage by 11%.

Adding to the sheer weight of Gonzalez’s feat, he has also been simultaneously unveiled as the No. 1 agent in the company, which comprises more than 900 real estate professionals spread throughout 10 South Florida offices. Both announcements were made Thursday evening during EWM Realty International’s all-office awards event, “Soar 2016,” at the historic Olympia Theater in downtown Miami.

“This distinction is an incredible honor for our team and a reflection of the hard work that’s been put into every transaction over the course of the last year and beyond,” said Gonzalez, who is a senior vice president with EWM Realty International. “We are always looking to further our reach among domestic and international buyers who are investing in this vibrant market.”

Gonzalez’s track-record of closed MLS sales of single-family homes and condominiums included the $33 million sale of 5800 North Bay Road – a transaction that made international headlines when music artist Phil Collins purchased the sprawling waterfront estate, which was formerly owned by Jennifer Lopez. And in November of 2015, Gonzalez listed La Brisa — a 6.9-acre bayfront estate in Coconut Grove — currently listed for $39.5 million…another testament to the magnitude of his portfolio.
