October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

I was inspired by Mappy’s post on early detection of Breast Cancer. Mappy is one of several of our agents that I know who have battled Breast Cancer and won! I would like to do a post featuring our Breast Cancer Survivors. Please comment with anyone you know… I would love to tell their stories – they are inspirational.

    Instead of mentioning names and stories so close to home, I would like to share what Panera Bread has done.
    Panera Bread introduced One Freshly Baked Bagel for the month of October. It is called the Pink Ribbon:
    NEW! Made with cherry chips, dried cherries and cranberries, vanilla, honey and brown sugar. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of each Pink Ribbon Bagel go to benefit breast cancer charities.

    I feel so fortunate to be healthy. I just had my yearly mammogram and the doctor said to me “your breasts are perfect” to which I responded “no, not really, they are kind of saggy”. Of course she meant cancer-free and I was just joking with her…
    I would like to encourage everyone to get their mammograms, better safe than sorry…
