While I’m not much of a chef, I’m great at collecting recipes. Always with the thought of one day spending “extra” time creating some amazing culinary delights that will wow my family and friends. It hasn’t happened yet and probably won’t so when a friend shared this “Recipe for Success” with me, I thought now here’s one even I can do.
You’ll note though that the icing on this cake is — what else? — common sense. If you’ve got some of that lying around, you’ll have no trouble whipping up this one. May your attempts create much joy and success! Bon Appetit!
4 cups of intelligence
1 1/2 cups of responsibility
2 cups of open-mindedness
1 quart of understanding
1 1/2 teaspoons of judgment
1 3/4 cups of sifted positive attitude
3 cups of ambition
2 cups of unbeaten patience
1 cup of tactfulness
4 cups of ability
Sift intelligence, ambition and understanding together first. Mix in cooperation, initiative and open-mindedness until dissolved. Gradually add ability, tactfulness and responsibility. Stir in positive attitude and judgment. Add patience and blend all ingredients well. Sprinkle liberally with cheerfulness and bake in oven of determination. Cool completely and spread with kindness and common sense.
