Kevin Tomlinson’s Blog Lesson: I Wish I Was Fluent in Another Language

So many agents at EWM (except for me) are fluent in two or more languages. There is an amazing opportunity for you to blog in a language that you are fluent in about real estate in South Florida.

I wish I was fluent in Italian. South Beach is a hub of activity for the Italians right now. They are buying, buying, buying! So—If I could write/speak Italian, I would be here blogging my little hands off–making sure that I become the go-to- guy for anyone from Italy.

In fact, I believe in the opportunities so much, that I would set aside blogging in English and only blog in Italian—THAT is how much opportunity is out there.

My friend Pat Kitano over at Transparent Real Estate wrote an excellent post on the very subject. It gives you insight and ideas on how to become the hub for their South Florida Real Estate needs.

In his post, Pat mentions “the soft sell,” which I think is a very elegant way to “help” people from foreign countries navigate the waters of South Florida Real Estate. Become a resource, not a salesperson, and you will have more “clients” than you could imagine.

And for the naysayers—YES, it is just THAT easy.

Great Blog, I actually purchased CD’s to listen to while I am driving to learn to speak Italian, not only for business but for pleasure as well. I hope to use it one day while I lounge in my “casa vacanze” in the Mediterranean.

Thanks for your input, I am currently trying to learn french. I think there is an opportunity as well to connect with the french culture, as I have seen there is alot of them in South Florida these days. I bought the Rosetta Stone software, which I highly recommend, it has a nice interface to it. Merci for your blog Kevin.

Don’t worry they can all speak English anyway. Remember the American Dolar is still the currency of the world and English is stil the language of world business.
