I am amazed to the point of being overwhelmed. 600+ posts in 3 languages in less than 3 days- you guys are the best!
Friday is the last day to get your listing posts in. We have some wonderful entries so far. take a look. If you are having a tough time, please check out our guest contributor, Jeff Turner – Real Estate Shows are an incredible tool and we will be learning much more about that over the next few weeks. It really does make short work of the chore of getting your listings out there. Here are a couple other listing pointers:
- No listing will be posted without an address, price or photo. A few sneaked through and there are many out there in DRAFT mode. Do not ask for people to call you for an appointment or to lure them to your website to get the price – they won’t. Put the information out there – they will email you directly if they are interested.
- Please do not copy and paste from the MLS – if you do – I will leave them unpublished. Any post you put up is a reflection of you and the company – let’s put our best foot forward.
- Use the spellcheck. We are working on a spanish spellchecker – so look for that.
- Select your categories wisely – a listing is not market stats
Just a few updates on the site:
1. The profiles have been automatically updated for you by your content on ewmrealtors. Many of you all had a hard time with getting the pictures right – so if you need to change something – do it on your ewmrealtors profile – do it once and it fixes everything – we try to make things easier for you.
2. We are continuously working on the organizational structure. Even though the content was well thought out, I know it is difficult for you all to find things – so look for changes every day on this so it will be easier for you all to get around. Most of my best suggestions have come from you all – so keep those cards and emails coming.
3. Jim and his team worked on videos all day. We will be loading tutorials and videos over the weekend. In the meantime, if you are having trouble with something poke around – there are already lots of things generated by you all that will help. If you can’t find, send me an email and we will get you going.
4. My goal as a blogerator is to cut you all loose so you can push the publish button yourself. I have already released a few. Please visit your posts after you have saved them to find hints and tips from me. Beginning on Monday I will go back and delete those drafts older than 3 days.
5. Keep posting. This is a marathon – not a print. We are off to a fabulous start and I couldn’t be more proud. I really am enjoying reading the internal blog – I recommend regular reading.
6. Comment – read, learn and comment – we already have a ton of good stuff in our internal blog. The discussion through comments is an important part of this blogging thing.
Just to keep things fun, I made Mario enable You Tube – so here is another favorite…
