Make Your Life Easier – Open House Weekends

Sometimes small changes make life easier for everyone.

Consumer studies show that buyers looking for houses ask for a good source to find open houses in the areas in which they are looking. With that in mind, we have compiled a schedule to showcase open houses by area on a particular weekend.

Beginning February10, 2008 we will begin to feature an announcement for area open houses in our newspaper ads which will direct readers to our website for detailed information. On the front page of ewm.com will be an area description and a list of all properties open that Sunday. We will also have a printable map with pinpoints to each property. In short, let’s make it easy on the customer by having all of our properties in any given area open at the same time… makes sense, right?

Here is the schedule through the first weekend in May… (I have omitted Easter Sunday.)

Dade:Aventura – Kendall/Falls – Miami – Upper East Side & Design District
Broward: East Ft Lauderdale – Weston – Davie – Coral Ridge

February 17, March 16, April 20
Dade: Coral Gables – Coconut Grove – Homestead – Redland – Miami Beach & North Bay Village
Broward: North Ft. Lauderdale – Pembroke Pines – Cooper City- Plantation – Victoria Park

February 24, March 30, April 27
Dade: Brickell -Key Biscayne – High Pines – Ponce/Davis -South Miami – Miami Shores & Vicinity
Broward: Hollywood – Miramar- Imperial Point/Landings

March 2, April 6, May 4

Dade: North Dade Beaches – Sunny Isles – Cutler Bay – Palmetto Bay – Pinecrest
Broward: Hallandale – Sunny Isles – Southwest Ranches – Tamarac – Downtown Ft. Lauderdale

The idea here is to save you some time and money as well. By mapping out open houses by area each weekend, you might just end up with a Sunday off. Additionally, since we are going to showcase the areas and the open houses each weekend by directing the consumer to our website, you may just decide to pass on running an ad.

So how do you jump into this? It’s easy.

• Log into ewmrealtors.com,
• Click on My Listing Manager
• Select the listing you are going to hold open
• In the Open House section on the lower left hand side, enter a date per the schedule above
• Chose a time… either 1-3 or 3-5
• Click Add Date

We will take it from there. I would encourage you to take some time and sit down with your calendar and do this for the next few months at one time. (hint: this is how you can actually get an occasional Sunday off). However, for those procrastinators… the opens will be pulled on Friday morning before the Sunday open house – so entries after 5pm on Thursday afternoons will miss the cutoff.
