Escaping into cyberspace…

How easy is it to forget the warm bodies around us? We are/were people oriented but with the advent of the computer has made us robotic in nature. Excuse me while I sneak off and spend time with my best friend. Hey there sweetie you darling Gateway with Vista and so much memory and sneak into the comfort and safety of our home offices? I don’t know about all of you, but today I looked at my watch and it was 2:00 p.m. Breaks I’ve had a few but too few to mention. Sing it to me Frankie. Actually two trips to the fridge, 30 minutes on the treadmill and a conversation with my friend Christina. Breakfast with spent with my significant other and the Miami Herald. There seems to be direct correlation between how much weight I’ve gained this year and how much time I’ve spent online. It’s true. Start adding the hours up. At least two hours a day staying current with the market. Then another two hours designing brochures. I’m of the old school. Don’t give me instructions on how to do it. Let me figure it out the hard way through trial and error.

You will never be in danger of forgetting the “warm bodies” around you – and NOTHING about you is robotic. You are a writer. Blogging will come naturally to you. You will do it well, and with meaning. In the meantime, think of blog material and work on your time management skills while riding the bicycle…multi-task!
