SPAM WARNING – From your Green Friendly Realtor

> Key Board

Last night I posted a listing on Craigslist and half an hour later I received an offer for my 2/2 condo for rent at the Tiffany in Bal Harbor, Fl. “Lucky me”, I said to myself. “Now that my thoughts, beliefs and desires are congruent with my actions, things start to fall into place and I am beginning to see results!”. (I talk about congruency because yesterday we had an amazing introduction to NLP in our Aventura Office presented by Janet Konefal. She made a two-hour long presentation that focused on our relationship with money, work, and several other important aspects of our lives).

Now, let me go back to my listing for rent posted on Craigslist. I opened the email and to my surprise something smelled fishy. So, I immediately emailed that person back and tried to schedule a showing. After a few minutes he responded that he was an English doctor being transferred to Florida to work for the EPA in
Florida. I immediately googled his name as well the hospital’s name and VOILA! A Spam Alert site popped out congratulating me for being suspicious and asking me to register the sender’s address and the content of the email. Hope this information will help you if you encounter a similar situation. I heard that these spammers start to ask for your personal and company’s account information in order to do “wire transfers” and perhaps then “clean” your accounts. Have a Great Easter Holiday!

I have been trying to warn others of the dangers of advertising rentals on Craig’s List forever, but because of the nature of today’s lawsuit friendly corporate society, I have been quieted every time. Not only do you get calls from grifters as far away as Nigeria, but none are legitimate. The worst part is almost all of the listings belong to realtors. Whatever happened to the MLS? If this continues, customers, legitimate ones at least, will visit the list instead of coming to a real estate office, thus eliminating us.
