Florida has had very few cases of swine flu and the risk is minimal. However, Realtors conduct business primarily through face-to-face contact, and that’s the way the flu spreads. To minimize problems, the Florida Department of Health established a toll-free helpline at: (800) 342-3557.
The line is staffed from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily, and after-hours calls will be handled by an automated service. The Department also offered the following recommendations:
• Avoid close contact with people who appear ill
• Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth
• Wash hands frequently
