Senators approve First Time Home Buyer Tax Credit Extension

Good news for  home buyers.  It looks like the first time home buyers tax credit will be extended  into 2010.  The Senate approved the extension of the existing credit of $8,000 of  and is offering a $6,500 credit to repeat buyers who have owned their current home for at least 5 years.

If the bill passes the house it looks like many more buyers will be able to take advanatge of the tax credit.
