This kitten was found in an enclosed courtyard at one of our open houses about 5 weeks ago. It was barely alive and approximately less than 8 days old. We do not know how he got there as there was only 2 ways to get access to this courtyard – the sky or the roof. The mother must not have been able to come back to get him or feed him.
We took him to the vet and at 4 ounces and a slim chance to survive, we brought him home and bottle fed him around the clock, gave him antibiotics, injected him with fluids for 2 weeks to keep him hydrated and gave him lots of love and attention.
Today he is a happy, healthy and sweet kitten ready to be placed in a loving and stable home. We will have him vaccinated this week, provide a good supply of food and he has lots of toys. We would like him placed in a home where he will be an indoor pet and given a lot of attention. He is imprinted on humans and very sweet. He is currently living with our 87 year old mother who loves him but is not in good enough health to keep him and care for him.
If you would like to adopt him or know of someone please call Tina Forster at 305-877-3335.
