You can’t be too careful when it comes to using public Internet networks. Think SAFE as you utilize public Wi-Fi while traveling.
Security Settings. Do not set your computer to automatically connect to public Wi-Fi. Try to use networks from businesses and people you know.
Alert. Know that every time you connect to public Wi-Fi, you are taking a risk. Think of it as a stranger watching over your shoulder. Never enter personal or critical information while connected to a public network.
Firewall. Ensure the firewall on your computer is turned on and file sharing is disabled.
Exit. Disconnect from the network when you’re finished. l
