The Cypress Bay Sound of Thunder Band Program has been selected to perform at a special event on Saturday November 10th, 2012 at the Bergeron Rodeo Grounds in Davie, FL alongside the up and coming country rock Duo – Big and Rich.
The event is in support of Veterans and is meant to serve the military members that have fought so hard for the United States. There will be an Expo from 5-7 in which the band will perform patriotic music and then the band will perform in the Arena as members of the different branches of our military are asked to stand. The concert is going to be broadcast to military bases around the world and a documentary is being shot throughout the concert as well.
This is a great honor for the band program as we are the only band program in South Florida to participate and many troops are counting on us to make not only great music but to help sell tickets to raise money for a grief counseling program known as Project Corregidor.
