They’re all Nerds!

I was sitting in this Blogging class and here is what I saw…

The leaders of my company, whom I greatly admire, in Star Trek clothes.

Picture this…Our CEO thinks he’s Captain Kirk! I don’t know all the other people are supposed to be, though.

Name tags everywhere!!! Not just regular name tags, but great big ones. Wanting everyone to know just who they are with those costumes on!

I was ready to run, until someone said FREE ADVERTISING. OK, I’ll listen…even though I have to look at all of you like that.

“Just write about stuff you like,” they said.

I can do that.

What are they throwing? Some kind of chinchilla balls (are they worth some money?) No, but the people around me were diving for them. They were just regular carnival stuffed animal type of fur shaped in little balls… What are these people coming to? Is it the market driving us truly mad?

I believed them (our trusted leaders) in the past, so here is what I did.

So I am sitting here with my Star Trek outfit, Spok ears and all trying to get inspiration.

I tried most of my adult life not to be a nerd and now you are telling me that is exactly what is going to help me now!

Well, OK.

But as soon as this market picks up… no more Star Trek…OK?

Blame me! I laughed when I read this–I think your take on this is too funny. Of course, the shirts are in keeping with our “Star Tech” theme and we are borrowing the look from “Star Trek” just for fun. I was just as surprised by how many Trekkies they were in Broward, as I was at how few there are in Dade. If you are ever up late and watching the TV Land channel, maybe you will catch the Star Trek episode “The Trouble with Tribbles” and see how over-run with Tribbles they were (just as we are over-run with Listings–this week’s Blogging topic). Hope that makes a little sense. Thanks for a good laugh. Hope to see you blog a listing for the contest before Friday! 🙂

I was VERY happy to go home with 2 Tribbles…I wish my kids knew what they were…They looked at the Tribbles and then looked at me as if I were an Alien!!! Oh well. Marty S.

I didn’t konw what those fury things were but I wore my shirt. I forgot that I had it on until we all walked into the restaurant for lunch and had heads turning at us with a wierd expression. In this market whatever it takes…but whenever it picks up I am sure Beth and Helen will come up with something else.

You don’t know how much I understand your feelings!!! I felt just the same. Hopefully in the months to come we will be laughing and thanking our leaders for opening new doors for us to succeed in this “real estate reality”. Welcome aboard!

PS. I must admit they looked really funny and cute!

My evil twin sister writes! Thanks for the laugh. I’m in for whatever works so thanks to EWM leadership for creating a forum for lots of exposure. PS: I never did get the Star Trek following.

Claudia, you get to see us in those shirts for the next 5 weeks, aren’t you lucky! You think it was hard looking at us, how would you like wearing it. All kidding aside, it was a lot of fun and it’s really good to laugh in this market. I actually think this is right up your alley!
