Taking decent photos of your listings can be a challenge under the best of circumstances. When the property you’re trying to photograph is unusually large or sits along the waterfront, aerial shots are often the best way to go. Problem is, traditional aerials are expensive — generally not because of the photographer, but the cost of the helicopter is a killer.Luis Travieso, a photographer EWM has used and recommended for many, many years, now has a cost effective way to take aerials. He actually uses a small remote control helicopter with a camera mounted on it. Here are a couple of sample shots he took the other day. This first one shows a Palm Island property and the one below it is an Indian Creek property. You’ll have to talk to Luis about his fees, but I think it’s about $150 – $200 for 2 or 3 shots. These sample photos were taken from about 200 feet, but Luis said the camera can get as low as 20 feet and as high as 300 feet. Luis’ cell is 305.401.4604.
