Things I should know about the company website that my Broker keeps from me

In case you just joined the company, I want to outline a couple of things you should know about our two most important websites (ewm.com) and (ewmrealtors.com). The process is extremely simple and painless if you read carefully what I’m about to outline.

Our website (ewm.com) is our public website, this is where we showcase your listing(s) and where the public finds out about your listing(s), we will refer to this site as the (the rebel alliance). The searches are performed based the MLS city name on our website, this is the city that was chosen when our staff entered the listing into the MLS (the galactic empire).

A listing will appear on our website with in 4-8hrs after it has been submitted into the MLS. Sometimes, when the galactic empire decides to upgrade their death star (mlxchange), we have a major battle, in such times you may notice a delay (24-36hrs) in us getting the information from the evil empire. (the same applies if you made simple changes to the listing, price, comments)

If you give your photos to the empire and they have them, we will make an effort to get these digital plans from them on Mondays and Fridays (only). We do this in order to save you time, from having to submit them in multiple places.

We also share your listing with other websites (LuxuryPortfolio.com) and (Mayfairinternationalrealty.com) and they get a feed from us every night, unless we are in battle with the Death Star.

Our internal website is (ewmrealtors.com), this is where you can manage your listing, view reports, contracts and so on. In our Ad-System, we ask that you upload a digital photo of your listing for those publications that require photos. You ask why not use the one I already gave to the empire? The answer is simple, they implant things into the photo that it makes them practically useless, not to mention they are of lower quality. This is why we ask that you take advantage of our listing manager and upload the photos directly to us.

To Recap, these are the things you should know about our website that we keep from you!

1 – A Listing goes into MLS Today.
2 – We get your listing on ewm.com with in 4-8hrs, unless there is a battle it’s 24-36hrs. (We are in one right now)
3 – Your MLS photos get on your listing on Mondays and Fridays.
4 – We update third party websites every night.
5 – You can use ewmrealtors.com to manage your listing and add photos directly to our public website.

I Hope this helps some of you understand what we do, and a little bit of the process regarding your listing. If you have any questions please post your comments.

Thanks Captain Mario. At some future star date, can you give us some feedback how we can alter the size of our digital photos so they are more easily manipulated into the website. Obiwan Kanobe, you are our only hope!

Mario, thanks for great information. Rex, I size my digital photos on Photo Shop at home; but you can do it from any computer any time with no special soft ware by going to http://pixer.us. It’s free and easy! You can do some other editing from that site also. Sorry I don’t know how to put in a hyper-link here. Good luck!

The MLS is in Sync with EWM again. If a price change or updates to your listing is not on our public website, please ask your MLS department to add a period to the end of your comments and save the listing again. This will ensure the MLS will send me your listing again when I ask for updates.

Mario… MLS is still not allowing uploads of photos to our new listings .. for the past week now. Any idea as to when they’ll have that glitch corrected? And, is there any way to circumvent the photo issue? I’ve uploaded photos onto our EWM site… and the visual tour is attached as well (and the visual tour was uploaded to the MLS, as of this afternoon)… but.. still no luck with uploading photos.
