A Totally Different Sing-Along!!

Susie: Nicole, you do the song this week.
Nicole: Me???
Susie: Sure, you’re always making stuff up.
Nicole: “Ding a-ling, girls are whistling. Ding a-ling, boys are listening.”
Lulu: Is that Nicole?
Irene: Yeah, she’s at it again. I’m putting my headphones back on!
Laura: But that’s a Christmas song. She’s got the wrong holiday. She should be doing New Years.
Nicole: Pop, pop, pop, the champagne’s a flowin…..shake, shake, the New Year’s a-rollin in.
Susie: Geez, where do you come up with this stuff? Who ARE you???
Nicole: Don’t you like it? Scary part is, I’ve done this my whole life. I’ve never had the right words to songs so I make up my own.
Laura: It’s a real gift.
Nicole: I know. I have the dance moves, too. Wanna see? Shake, shake, shake . . . shake your bootie!!
Susie: Very funny, but I think we should do Auld Lang Syne
Nicole: What is that?
Lulu: Are you kidding??
Nicole: We should compromise. We should do, “Ding-aling, New Years is coming. Ding-aling, it’s time to party. We’ll keep this short, we’ll keep it light. We hope you have a great New Years Eve night.”
Susie: Love it!!!! You have more?
Nicole: Yeah. “Try not to over-drink and do anything embarrassing and pass out on your neighbor’s front lawn. Living in a winter wonderland. Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la!!!”
Irene: It’s perfect! You’re a genius!!!
Susie: Laura, aren’t you happy the Marketing Muses adopted you?
Laura: There are no words . . .
Beth: Where are you all going?
Irene: Photo shoot — come on, let’s go.

Zeus and Mnemosyne must be dancing in the Olympus, their lovely Muses are back in the limelight and rock and rolling. Who is who? I will give you a list of what each one stood for.
    Kleio, history; Euterpe, flute playing; Thaleia, comedy; Melpomene, tragedy; Terpsichore, dance;
Erato, love poems; Polymnia, sacred music; Ourania, astrology; Kalliope, epic poetry. Now the $64,000 question… who held the highest rank of the Muses?

Norby, Norby — I got it!!! Calliope was Chief of the Muses. She was the Muse of heroic poetry and eloquence. This must be true because Google told me and Google is all knowing. So now my question is… does her name begin with a “C” or a “K”? Google says C. Your turn.
