I rarely watch the local news as it is usually quite pathetic.The presenters have so much make-up on and look rather synthetic, it is hard to take them seriously. They also show poor empathy even when telling you about something tragic. The local news is as a norm, far too graphic, and inappropriate to watch if there are small children in the room.
CNN is obviously a much better choice and you get national and international news with good reporting and heated debating.
But, if you want something even more globally…
May I suggest BBC America World News…
I love BBC World News. I love that they tell you about the real news and not the petty news. I love that they tell you about the WHOLE world and major developments around it. I love it as it is not graphic and gory and a child can be present in the room. I love it as the presenters don’t wear so much make-up and yet look professional and stylish.
If you enjoy good news and haven’t watched BBC World News (on BBC America Channel) may I suggest you see if your cable carrier has it and get it!
This way you will really know what is going on around the world and how it affects us here locally.
