Angela’s MLX Tech Tip: Inserting Attachments…

Hi everyone…have you ever notice that special link on the left hand side of a listing named ATTACHMENTS? Have you ever tried attaching but for some reason could not find your way to the attachment insert link? Read on and discover how easy it is to attach floor plans, Site plans, and whatever you might think might enhance a listing…

Ok. Ready? What do you want to insert? Go to the Xerox and scan the document and email it to yourself . Make sure to scan the proper document size and add color if the doc is in color choose edit the subject line so you may recognize the document when it goes to your email. (I like to type the subject in caps) Now go to your email and save the docs to your desktop. An icon will appear in pdf format on the desktop.

  • Back to the MLX.·
  • Go to Home ·
  • Find active listings in Inventory watch·
  • Copy your listing ML#·
  • Go on the left hand side you will see Add or Modify Listing Images click·
  • Drop your ML# in Find a listing by ML# and click the green arrow·

You will see your images open, now drop down the scroll bar on the right and what do you see? The word Attachments above the word Prospector activity. (Not a bad idea to investigate Prospector Activity later now that you know how to get there)

  • Click the word attachment·
  • Click the green arrow then browse the desktop.
  • Find your doc.·
  • Choose your Type and type in your description·

Click save.

You are finished. If you need to change the attachment you may do so by going back to the Action link and click the down arrow and choose delete attachment.

Angela — I usually e-mail the MLS coordinator to add to broker remarks: “Click on attachments for: Owner’s Property Disclosure, Floor Plan, Aff. Co. Biz Disclosure, Survey, etc.” because agents are not usually looking at the attachment button.
