Be sure all your friends and relatives have a stack of your cards. |
2. | All past buyers and current sellers should have a supply of cards. |
3. | Attach your card to any promotional material you pass out, mail out, or put in display stands. |
4. | Leave an ample supply of cards in all homes you have listed. |
5. | If you have a vacant listing, place your card in a prominent place (front window, front door, doorbell, etc.) |
6. | Whenever you hold an open house, place a supply of cards in every room. |
7. | Leave your card (and a handwritten note!) in every home you show. |
8. | Distribute cards when cold calling. |
9. | Make sure every For Sale By Owner has your card – have it delivered or mailed. |
10. | Leave a card with your (wonderful) tip when dining out. |
11. | Make sure your pharmacist, dry cleaner, physician dentist, etc., know you are in the real estate business. Tell them and give them your card. |
12. | When you give “trick-or-treats” on Halloween, include your card with a treat for parents (a free market analysis, etc.) |
13. | Be sure your favorite hair salon or barber shop has a supply of your cards. |
14. | Make sure all attorneys you know have a supply of cards. |
15. | Send your card and a congratulatory note, together with a copy of the announcement, to the parents of each couple announcing their wedding in your local paper. Send an announcement and a card to the prospective bride and groom. |
16. | Send a congratulatory note to those who have been promoted or who have won awards. Include your card. |
17. | Enclose a card and a copy of the announcement to the college graduates mentioned in your newspaper. |
18. | Give a supply of your cards to any contractors or home remodelers in your area. |
19. | Exchange a supply of cards with friends in related fields (insurance, banking, law, etc.) |
20. | Keep a supply of cards in the glove compartment of your car. |
21. | Keep extra cards in your wallet, purse, suit coat pockets and briefcase. |
22. | Give your card to all the salespeople you meet in hardware stores, department stores, etc. |
23. | When giving phone numbers or information, write them out on the back of your card. |
24. | When attending out-of-town seminars, give your card to other attendees and to instructors. Follow up with a thank you note and information on your office and market area. |
25. | Print your listing’s photo and information on a 2×4 label and stick the label on the back of your business card. Give 10 to Seller at the listing appointment and make additional ones for your Open House so that the potential Buyers will always remember where they met you. |
