90 Day Challenge – Day 45 – This Technology is Here to Stay

I did not vote for Obama but I have watched his campaign and admired how technology shaped the outcome of the race and how he used these tools to affect change and gather votes.  I last wrote about the inauguration and how the new media channels were to be used.  Knowing all of this- I was still surprised with some new tricks ….

CNN and Facebook covered the Day’s Events live – it was something to see.  Thousands of Facebook users contributed over 200,000 streaming comments which were posted to the side of the video throughout the speech.  What an amazing view into television of the future and a powerful way to watch history unfold. Who would have thought, even just 1 year ago, that a major news outlet would forgo an anchor and let thousands of regular people provide commentary?

Whitehouse.gov – Yes, beleive it or not the White House has a website – not groundbreaking at all.  The stunning part was that at precisely 12:01 pm the site switched to reflect it’s new inhabitants and front and center on the site is The White House BLOG.  Here is the first post entitled Change has Come to the White House.

I think it is safe to say that this technology is here to stay and if the government has adapted it before you have, you may want to jump on board.  It’s a great time to let these tools change your business.  But then again, that’s why we have the 90 Day Challenge.  Thanks for reading.

Yes, those are the days of our lives! Blessed by it’s diversity, this nation has a new Presidential family settling in the white house. New slippers by the bedsides, new shoes stepping in to guide and rule our country. Those are certainly days of changes and culture improvements.

While all of this was being inked in history, my family as well was blessed with the challenge of moving into a new home. Challenged by the times of financial change, we stepped up to the plate and rolled up our sleeves and worked hard to close a deal on a FHA with 3% down on Christmas Eve. This was not a small task, considering our special needs son and daughter in college. My husband Bruce was on leave from another month at sea in New Orleans and sailed off once again on December 26! Thank God for my father who flew in from Canada to help with the transition to the new home and removal of my things from SW Broward EWM! Do I have a desk at the Town Center? No. I have ten floating desks and a new office at home which is perfectly fine.

God Bless our new President and all who participate in making this country an example of strenght and courage to the rest of the world. I give thanks for such blessing and for the blessings my family has received at a time when so many need prayer and support.

May God bless you Beth for all you do to encourage the troupe at EWM.

Do good, see good , be good.
    Angela Graham.
