As we head into week 3, I have to tell you that I am fascinated by the statistics that these sites can provide. You might be interested in knowing that in the past week, we have had viewers from China and Norway. In the US, we have visitors from California, Seattle, Iowa, Maryland and New York. Imagine what those figures will look like when we start promoting the blog! On the front page of the blog, you might notice there are some small boxes just below the neighborhoods scroll bar. As you can see, we are already the number 43 real estate blog site in the country. I want to see us in the top 10 by the time the contest is over.
It is time to forge ahead to week 3 – Community Info. We have already seen quite a few entrants into this category and so far, they are great. Community information can be anything from describing a local park or upcoming art festival to a restaurant review or photos of some of your favorite places. You can talk about your city commissioners, how to get a building permit or local news. I found out by reading a post from Carlos Ruiz that Coral Gables residents are finally allowed to have pick up trucks. Add a little sizzle to your post by adding a picture, or better yet, check out Real Estate Shows and do a community tour.
Our judge this week will be Michael Miller, editor of the Community newspapers. He has been very interested in our blog and we are discussing how we can work together in this new arena.
My last request for the week is to continue posting quality information and while you sit t the computer to put up that post, have a friend sit next to you. I see that some offices are still a little shy about this blogging thing… help them do thier first post. The results are almost instant. The EWM blog is ranking higher than Active Rain already in most of our market areas… this blog thing works. Help a friend get into it.
