In a blog she wrote last week, Susie Friedman was ranting about poor quality photographs and I felt her frustration. I saw a house listed by a non-EWM Realtor for slightly under $2 million with such poor quality photographs that you can’t tell what room you are in. If the person had taken the same pictures but turned on the lights and used a flash, I am sure they would have made a much better impression.
Another complaint I have regarding pictures is not using them at all in listings, whether sale or rental. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so if a listing doesn’t have any pictures what is that saying? I just spent half an hour going through rental listings trying to find ones that met my customer’s specifications. In addition to poor or no descriptions, most of them did not have pictures either. Luckily there were only 6 in the community he was looking in. One of them had pictures and that is the first one we are going to schedule an appointment for.
Having quality pictures in all of our listings helps save everyone time and time is money!
